"Oriental Smart Eye Cup" Remote Sensing Image Intelligent Processing Algorithm Competition was supported by the Department of Information Sciences of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. It was sponsored by the Steering Expert Group of the Major Research Plan on "Fundamental Theories and Key Technologies of Space Information Networks" and titled by StarAI Spatio-temporal Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. The competition received sponsorship from Huawei Technologies Co.Ltd.,Oriental Space Port Research Institute, and Oriental Maritime Space Port(Shandong) Development Group Co., Ltd., and was organized by the State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing (LIESMARS) at Wuhan University, Oriental Space Port Research Institute, Oriental Maritime Space Port(Shandong) Development Group Co., Ltd., and the Collaborative Innovation Center of Geospatial Technology.The competition aims to "promote innovation through competition," driving the innovative development of artificial intelligence technology in the field of remote sensing image processing and application, and providing support for significantly enhancing the capabilities of space information processing and application.
The contest is open to people from all walks of life, regardless of nationality or age. We welcome people from universities, research institutes and enterprises.
Participants must register and choose the track as a team. Each person can only join one team. Every team can choose more than one track at the same time. Users are required to truthfully provide basic personal information when signing up. Team formation must be completed before the deadline. The team size can be 1 to 5. Team mergers are allowed only if either of merged team has one member and the total number of submissions by each member does not exceed three times the number of days the contest has been running.
At the preliminary stage, participants can submit their works no more than 3 times per day on the contest platform. The objective evaluation system will automatically evaluate the score, and the subjective evaluation will be uniformly evaluated by the expert group regularly. Entries must be original, not violate any relevant laws of the People's Republic of China, and not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights or other rights. The organizing committee will cancel the contest score and deal with it seriously if violation of rules is found or proposed and verified by the right holder.
At the preliminary stage, the top 20 teams from each track can advance to the semi-final where real-name authentication will be required. At the semi-final stage, the top 10 teams from each track can advance to the final. If any team abandons the contest, the ranking will be updated. Participants should cooperate with the organizing committee to verify the validity and authenticity of the contest works, and check the correctness of the submitted works by themselves before submitting. The organizing committee is not responsible for changing and adjusting the contest works.
Fair contest: Participants are not allowed to use loopholes in rules or technology to improve their score outside the designated scope of technical ability assessment. Plagiarism, exchange of answers and use of multiple trumpets in the contest are prohibited. If found, the team score will be canceled and serious punishment will be taken.
Organization Statement: The organizing committee reserves the right to adjust and modify the contest rules, the right to judge and dispose of cheating in the contest, and the right to withdraw or refuse to grant awards to teams that affect the organization and fairness.
The contest data shall be owned by the data provider, the contest data can be used free of charge on the supported platform. The data provider authorizes the participants to use the data provided for model training in the specified contest, and the participants shall not use the data for any commercial purposes. For scientific research use, you should contact the organizer to apply for permission. Manual annotation and modification of the data set is not allowed. Only the data set provided by each track is allowed to be used. Data set for Forest Single-Tree Canopy Segmentation track cannot be used in the Semantic Segmentation of Underwater Coral Remote Sensing Images track. Data set for Semantic Segmentation of Underwater Coral Remote Sensing Images track cannot be used in the Forest Single-Tree Canopy Segmentation track. No additional data can be used at either track.
Property Rights of Works: The intellectual property rights of the works (including but not limited to algorithm, model and so on) belong to the competitors. The Organizing Committee has the right to use the works and team information for publicity materials, related publications, designated and authorized media release, official website browsing and downloading, exhibitions (including itinerant exhibitions) and other activities. The relevant organizations of the contest shall have the priority of cooperation.
Avoidance: Individuals involved in question development or data access at organizations related to the competition are prohibited from participating or delegating participation to others. Teams comprising members affiliated with Wuhan University, organizing entities, or sponsoring organizations may participate in the preliminary and semi-final rounds but are ineligible to advance to the finals or subsequent stages.
Notification: The organizing committee will invite teams to participate in the final and related activities through the contact information reserved by the participating teams. If the participating team does not reply within 7 days after the above notice is sent, it will be deemed that the corresponding opportunity is automatically abandoned, and the Organizer has the right to replace other participating teams.
1. The organizing committee reserves the right to adjust and modify the contest rules, and has the final right to interpret the contest rules.
2. The organizing committee has the right to judge and deal with cheating in the contest.
3. The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the submission deadline, presentation date and award date of the contest. The organizing committee reserves the right to suspend or terminate the contest under special conditions.
4. In case of uncontrollable factors, the organizing committee reserves the right to adjust the number of promoted teams in each stage of the contest and the right to adjust the award.
5. The organizing committee reserves the right to withdraw or refuse to award to teams that affect the organization and fairness of the contest.
6. In case of data update, evaluation code update, cheating check and other reasons, the organizing committee has the right to re-evaluate the results and update the leader board.
7. The organizing committee has the right to invite high-level teams from other competitions to participate in the semi-finals and subsequent sessions as additional places.
